About Us

We are an organization dedicated to supporting young leaders committed to defending human rights, the rule of law, democratic values, civic ethics, sustainable development, and economic and historical literacy.  Through training programs, international exchange and collaboration, we aim to renew political and civic leadership across the US, Latin America and the world.

Mission

To train a new generation of skilled, qualified, conscious, critical, and committed leaders who will live, promote and defend the rule of law, liberty, civic ethics, democratic principles,  sustainable development, and economic and historical literacy in their respective countries.

To build a community of empowered citizens and leaders committed to democratic renewal, political ethical integrity, and strengthening the Rule of Law through civic education, historical literacy, and ethical leadership. We promote their active participation in civic and political life and international cooperation.

Cesar Mosbah Taki Tudares

Mr. César Mosbah Taki Tudares is a Venezuelan human rights defender and civic leader based in the United States. His professional career encompasses political communication, democratic activism, and international relations in service to civil society.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from UTH Florida and a Master’s degree in Advanced Political Communication from NEXT Education (2023-2025). His Master’s thesis addressed media censorship during the 2023 Venezuelan primaries. He is currently studying International Relations at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR).

Internationally, in 2024 he was a delegate to the UN representing Venezuela at the XVIII Youth Summit for Human Rights. He also participated in events related to the OAS and in high-level meetings in Washington, D.C., and New York. He contributed to the regional dialogue “Toward the VII Youth Forum of the Americas,” which focused on youth leadership and democratic governance.

As a political analyst, he writes columns for El Nacional of Venezuela and Diario Al Poniente of Colombia, and manages a LinkedIn newsletter focused on public discourse. He is the Director of Youth and Environmental Rights at the Pan American and Caribbean Union for Human Rights and a board member of Gente de Venezuela in Philadelphia.

His specialized training includes programs at the OAS, the University of Salamanca, Villanueva University, the University of Zulia, and George Washington University, where he specialized in artificial intelligence applied to political management.

Juan Rafael Salas Molina

A Costa Rican political advisor and analyst, known for his work in defending liberal democracy, individual liberty, and strengthening institutions in Latin America. He has participated internationally as a speaker before the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United States Senate and Congress and has served as an international observer in electoral processes.

Nationally, he has collaborated with the Costa Rican Congress and other government organizations in promoting pro-democracy initiatives and defending individual liberties, contributing to the strengthening of civic participation, institutional debate, and the political education of young people. He has also worked as an advisor on political campaigns, playing an active and decisive role in achieving strategic objectives. He has participated in various organizations in coordinating roles and has received scholarships for training programs in the fields of economics, international relations, and law. He is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Costa Rica.

In addition, he has worked in the media as a television presenter on political analysis programs and has promoted the ideas of freedom on digital platforms.

Lina Tramelli

Lina Tramelli holds a master’s in Government from Harvard University and a master’s in Urban Planning with a specialization in Sustainability from Boston University, Massachusetts. She has a Political Science degree from the University of the Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and holds a Diploma in Political and Institutional Communication from the Catholic University of Argentina.

With over a decade of experience in the US, she has established herself as a leader in public service and urban development. Her professional career began as a political consultant, playing a significant role in various campaigns. Since 2018, she has worked for local government, notably serving as a liaison for Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, who later became Secretary of Labor in the Biden administration.

Committed to community well-being, she led key initiatives as Project Manager and Director of a Senior Center under the Commission on Affairs of the Elderly in Boston.  She currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Revere, where she oversees workforce development, implements inclusion policies, and fosters sustainability in human resource management. She serves as the Chair Director of Protocol of the Napolitan Victory Awards.

Joshua Lopez Bautista

Joshua’s role at the FDLL involves engaging in policy advocacy, collaborating with diverse partners to promote policies aligned with the organization’s mission, and developing initiatives that actively involve youth in civic activities, fostering a new generation of leaders dedicated to democratic principles.

Joshua is currently pursuing dual degrees in Law from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and Political Science & Law from the University of Arizona. His academic journey includes an enriching exchange experience at Seoul National University in South Korea, where he studied Law and International Relations.

Joshua served as a Senior Advisor for the Mexican Youth Movement (Movimiento Juvenil Mexiquense) empowering young people by spearheading initiatives that encouraged their participation in politics. He represented their interests in national and international forums, ensuring that their voices were integral to shaping policies that impact their lives.

Joshua actively participates in the annual International Human Rights Summit at the United Nations Headquarters, advocating for policies that advance equity and justice, particularly for vulnerable populations. He has served as an international election observer across Latin America.

Jose Alberto Alejandre Lara

Alberto Alejandre has extensive academic experience in Mexico and in the United States.  He has a BA in Philosophy from Regis University; a Master’s in Philosophy from the Lateran Pontifical University and a Master’s in Public Policy from Georgetown University.

Alberto taught Civics and English at the Tec de Monterrey in Mexico and at other schools in Mexico and the US.  He has given workshops and spoken to young audiences at universities and various organizations in the US, Mexico, El Salvador and Costa Rica.

He is currently the general director of the Workplace Wellness Council in Mexico, focusing on labor wellness and wellbeing for companies operating in Mexico. Alberto is a member of the National Academy of History and Geography (ANHG) of Mexico due to his research at the Iturbide Archive at the Catholic University of America, focusing on the life of Agustin de Iturbide and the life of the Iturbide family during their exile in the US. He currently serves as the vice-president of his ANHG chapter.

As the Director of Academic Formation at the Foundation for Democratic Leadership & Liberty, he supervises and approves the didactic materials that FDLL imparts. His role focuses on helping the participants engage in more theoretical knowledge of FDLL’s core values and subject matter.

Some of his personal interests are history, socioeconomic mobility in LATAM, civic values and engagement in LATAM, animal rights and veganism.
